Great writing — Thanks Nick Wignall!

The best part about fear is that is all imaginary, untrue and really does not exist.

But then, why are we able to take it so much to heart? Why are we able to give it so much of undue importance?

I believe this is because fear does not work at a superficial layer. It is not going to go away with a sweep of my hand. Rather, based on our experiences in life, fear manifests itself in multiple forms and like the mythical hydra, one branch of fear when conquered invariably evokes a couple of branches, this seemingly deadlier. The good thing — the hydra will run out of heads very soon once you cross a threshold.

That threshold can be a number that depends on,

  1. How quickly you want to get rid of the fear
  2. How serious you are about getting rid of fear
  3. How deep rooted the whole fear factor is

‘The goal is to just wade through fear and just do it! as you mentioned’

I am on my journey to conquer a few fears myself and your article was certainly something I needed at this point. Thank you!

All the best to everyone! Conquer the cloud layer called fear and let your brilliance shine through!
